Success with Visualization Is The Hidden Secret To Achieve The Life Of Your Dreams - The Four Steps Of Action...

success with visualization

Success with visualization is something that we have all experienced - maybe without knowing how - but we all do it!

How often do think about something and actually see it? When this happens, this is your imagination at work. Everyone can visualize, and it's the degree of "intent" and "detail" of the vision that makes it come alive.

Our brains are natural computers; everything that affects our senses is stored in our brains. When we read or when someone is telling a story, we are able to picture what is happening.

When your brain receives the same input over and over it will eventually not need to hear something to believe it.

If you can visualize yourself losing weight or being a happier person, in time you will become that person.

Case study:

Research has actually proven that success with visualization actually works ...

In one of the most well-known studies on Creative Visualization in sports, Russian scientists compared four groups of Olympic athletes in terms of their training schedules:

  • Group 1 = 100% physical training;
  • Group 2 - 75% physical training with 25% mental training;
  • Group 3 - 50% physical training with 50% mental training;
  • Group 4 - 25% physical training with 75% mental training.

"Mental Training" in the case of this study involved athletes simply imagining that they were using their muscles whilst they were "hooked up", and found that while the athlete imagined using the muscle in a certain way, the muscles responded as if they were actually being used

The Soviets had discovered that mental images can act as a prelude to muscular impulses!

What's more, and you might not believe it if it wasn't for a scientific study being placed before your eyes;

Group 4, with 75% of their time devoted to mental training, performed the best***

Another amazing story of success with visualization is that of Major James Nesmet.

James was locked up for 7 years in a bamboo cage after being captured in Vietnam. To save himself from going insane, he visualized himself on a golf course playing a perfect 18-holes each and every day.

Before Vietnam, James was an recreational golfer with an average round of no less than 90.

On the first round after his release he scored a personal best of just 74 strokes.

Can you do the same for your wants in life ... "sure can"

Think of a vision as the picture that someone painted on the cover of a jigsaw puzzle box...Then think of each of the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle as the goals that you have to achieve - one by one - in order to create your vision.

A vision is the ideal picture - a Goal is your commitment, a pledge you make to yourself to find and fit just the right piece in the right place within a promised amount of time.

It's very important to understand and follow the following advice ...

Creating visions has nothing to do with figuring out "how"

Too many times we stop ourselves from dreaming our greatest, deepest desires by being reasonable and rational. We get dragged down in the details, trying to figure out how to overcome all the problems and obstacles, rather than focusing on the dream.

Do this, and the dream dies and your full potential of who you are, or who you could be, dies before it even has a chance of making a go of it.

"We do not need more intellectual power,
we need more spiritual power. We do not need more
of the things that are seen, we need more
of the things that are unseen:"

- Calvin Coolidge

There are a number of techniques and tools that you can use to have success with visualization.

We will touch on a few here; remember that you can change what you see by constructing new visions of what you want.(Without figuring out the "how")

These are steps you can take to increase your self-esteem or to lose weight or whatever you want to achieve.

The following four steps to success with visualization can be taken each time you have a goal you want to achieve or if you need to refresh a prior goal that might be going a little of course.

Remember: Goals are the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle we use to create the vision (picture)
  • Step One - Become absolutely clear on what you value the most. Your values are the bedrock of all your performances. They are the "Why" of your life - the reason for all your actions.

  • Step Two - Look into to your heart and not your head. It is absolutely essential that you uncover for yourself that which is most important to the inner core of your being.

  • Step Three - List your Top 10 core personal values. This list represents the "authentic" you, and is stated as an "OATH", "I will live the life of ..>>>"< it becomes your personal code of conduct for everything you do.

  • Step Four - Pray, meditate or just close off the world each day for a few moments and focus on your inner-values. Your future is formed just BEFORE those wisps of inspiration become coherent thoughts ...

Once you have decided what your core values are: You can also create something that you can look at throughout the day when you need inspiration to stay on track.

Make a collage with things that reference your goal or keep a journal with your goal and how you are achieving it each day. Reading the words of your accomplishments is an excellent road to your success with visualization.
